An Argentinian hunter has been crushed and killed by an elephant he was tracking in Namibia.
Jose Monzalvez, 46-years-old, who held a legal hunting license, was among a professional trophy hunting poaching group included of another Argentinian and three Namibians.
According to The Namibian Press Agency Mr. Monzalvez—an oil company executive—was killed in a private wildlife arena.
Mr. Monzalvez died 43 miles north-west from a small town known as Kalkfeld in northern Namibia.
Namibia police claim that one of the elephants charged at the hunting crowd before they were able to organize and shoot the animal, at which point Mr. Monzalvez became the animal’s target and was crushed.
